My name is Laura and I am writing you to explain about my favourite celebration of the year.

I live in Lleida, Catalonia and a typical celebration in this place is “Sant Jordi”, its on the 23^rd of April. This day men of boys give a rose to the women or girls and they give then a book. It could be the book’s day in Catalonia. For me this day is so special because I love boys giving me things and there is a legend that explains about a soldier that helps a princess. Som a dragon and where he kills the dragon. Its blood becomes a bunch of roses.

Hello our friends:

Our names are Maria, Salvador, Jordi and Andoni, and we are going to explain the Christmas. It’s a typical celebration of Christian and we always celebrate the 25^th December.

The Christians celebrate the birth of Christ, we meet the family, normally in a dinner.

All the people, this day go to church…and who no?

In the dinner, we can eat cannelloni in the first, stuffed chicken in the second and the dessert can be nougat candy or “polvorons” a sweet typical of Spain.

Is a tradition to give presents to the other familiars or friends.

After this day, the family goes to has a lunch with the other half of the family that we can’t goes the last day.

One day of Christmas is the New Years Eve, this day we eat twelve grapes and we wish a good new year.

The three wise men

The three wise men is a special celebration in Spain and other countries.
All the countries that believe in Jesus celebrate it.
The three wise men come the night of fifth of January and give presents, toy to the boys that were good boys. And the boys that were bad boys the three wise men bring coal to them. The morning of the 6th the boys open the presents and sometimes said “ lo que volia “ the morning of the 6th normally the families go to other houses and open the presents for the house.
The lunch of the 6th the families eat food for children and eat a ring – shaped cake. In this, there are one of the three wise man and a broad bean. The person why ho finds the three wise man is coroneted king. And the person who finds the broad bean pay the ring – shaped cake.

We live in Lleida and we always celebrate Saint Michael at the finals of September.It's a very special celebration because Michael it's de pathron of Lleida. We like a lot this days because in Camps Elisis there are a car fair, and theme park.
